Order and delivery terms

Validity

The terms and conditions are valid from 30.11.2019.

Scope of application

These terms and conditions are complied with in the online services provided by the Hevostaitoakatemia (business ID 2200160-2) to the customer. We sell online services to adult individuals.

Service description

Mervi Pakola Horse Academy offers training services as well as online courses. Online courses are available online in a WordPress-based educational environment.

Ordering and prices

Participation in online courses is done by registering and ordering the product in question through the online store. To order, you must provide personal information and a valid e-mail address when ordering. Use of the services requires that the customer has an Internet connection and a computer or mobile device that enables Internet access. Purchased online course is available to the customer for 12 months from the time of purchase.

Prices are charged in the online store according to the price list at the time of ordering. Prices include VAT (24%). Delivery costs are not added to the prices. We reserve the right to change prices and delivery terms.

All orders are confirmed by email. The order confirmation sent to the customer acts as a payment receipt, and no other receipt is sent. A valid order can also be seen in the customer’s own information on the Horse Training Academy website.

The customer agrees to the delivery terms valid for each order.

Cancelling the order

The customer will have access to the online course immediately after payment. This means that the delivery of the service to the customer has started with the customer’s consent electronically before the end of the 14-day cancellation period for distance selling. For this reason, the 14-day right of cancellation does not apply to online courses purchased from the Hevostaito Akatemia online store.

Problems using the service

If technical or other problems occur in the use of the Mervi Pakola Horse Academy’s online store or online courses, the customer must contact the seller immediately by e-mail or telephone. Contact information can be found in the footer of the website and on the “Contact information” page.

Payment

Products are paid for when ordering. We have a secure Paytrail payment service. Paytrail Plc acts as a collecting payment service provider and is an authorized Payment Institution. Payment with bank buttons

You can use the payment buttons of all Finnish banks, ie you can pay with the payment buttons of Nordea, Osuuspankki, Säästöpankki, POP Bank, Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, S-bank and the Bank of Åland. Paytrail Plc will be shown as the recipient on your bank or credit card statement. Paytrail Plc will forward the payment to the merchant.

Payments with creditcards

You can pay in the online store with Visa and MasterCard. Card payment is done securely with Nets’ SSL-secured payment form. The online store does not have access to card information and payment card information is not stored in our systems. The online store uses the international Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode authentication services.

Other

We reserve the right to change our delivery terms. Before ordering, the customer must familiarize him/herself with the delivery terms and conditions.

All customer information is treated with complete confidentiality.

Limitation of Liability

Mervi Pakola Horse Academy is not responsible for delays or damages caused by force majeure. Hevostaito Akatemia shall not be liable for any damages resulting from any errors in products, services or digital content. Mervi Pakola Horse Academy shall not be liable for any damages resulting from the use of the products or services. Mervi Pakola Horse Academy shall not be liable for any consequential damages. When training with the horse itself, keep in mind that you are fully responsible for the horse as well as for your own safety. We recommend doing the exercises together with someone else and in closed space. If you are unsure about the suitability of an online course for your skill level, consult your riding instructor or contact here.

Intellectual property rights

Mervi Pakola Horse Academy owns all rights to videos, written material, images and texts on the pages. These rights do not pass to other parties e.g. purchasing an online course.

Information on dispute resolution bodies

If the dispute concerning the trade agreement cannot be resolved through negotiations between the parties, the consumer may refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi).

Before taking the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board, the consumer must contact the Consumer Advice of the Local Register Office (www.kuluttajaneuvonta.fi).

Walley Checkout

Together with Walley, we offer payments with Walley Checkout. Walley Checkout gives you all the desired payment methods in one solution – choose between Swish, Vipps, Mobilepay, direct bank- and card payment, invoice or payment in instalments (payment options may vary from time to time). Walley Checkout lets you decide your preferred payment method before confirming the purchase.

When selecting invoice or instalment payments, you receive your goods before you pay. You can then choose to pay the whole amount at once or to break up the payments into smaller instalments. Due date can vary and is presented on the invoice sent to you. Delivery method and possible fees added is shown in the checkout before confirming the purchase. A minor credit check is carried out, which in some cases requires credit information. In the event of delayed or missed payments, a penalty fee and penalty interest is charged.
